Cancellations, moves, and money already paid

These rules cover private risk readings, circle briefings, and shelf passes booked with Lucid Beaconway at the Juchon-myeon reading room. Write to hello@lucidbeaconway.click or call 0119808348 to cancel, move, or ask for a refund.

Eligibility and timeframe

A full refund of the fee is available when you cancel at least five days before the sitting starts. A cancellation that arrives two, three, or four days before the start is eligible for half of the fee, because staff time has already been held and a packet may already be on the desk. A cancellation inside 48 hours, and a no-show, keeps the fee in the room, with the illness exception below.

Deposits and when you pay

Private readings and shelf passes have no advance deposit. You pay at the desk when you arrive, so a timely cancellation of those sittings usually means no money has moved. Circle seats are paid in full by transfer after the library confirms the chair. That transfer is the payment these rules refund. There is no separate deposit on top of the seat fee.

Printed packets

If a private-reading packet has already been printed, 15,000 KRW for that paper is deducted from an otherwise available refund. The reservation book notes the time of printing. An unprinted packet is not charged. Circle handouts are printed for the table; a refund of a circle seat does not include a separate materials bill.

Work already started

A sitting that has begun is not refunded for the minutes already spent. If the guide stops early because you are unwell, the library offers a new sitting of the remaining topic without a second fee. A second sitting that was booked because a list ran past three programs is its own appointment: once it starts, its fee stands even if the first sitting was already completed.

No-shows

If you are absent when a private reading, circle, or shelf block starts, the fee is retained. If you write before the next working day and the reason is illness, the library offers one reschedule instead of keeping the discussion closed. The reschedule uses the original fee.

Rescheduling

You may move a confirmed sitting once, without a fee, when the request arrives at least five days before the original start. A second move is treated as a cancellation under the timing rules above. Circle seats move only to another published date of a circle, and only when a chair on that date is free.

If the library cancels

If Lucid Beaconway cancels a sitting, the fee is refunded in full, including any packet charge already paid. The reply offers another date when the room can hold it.

How a refund is made

Refunds of transfers go back to the same account, within ten working days after the library agrees the refund in writing. Cash paid at the desk is returned in cash at the desk, or by transfer if you prefer and you send the account in the refund request.
