What this site stores in the browser
A cookie is a small record a site asks your browser to keep and send back later. Lucid Beaconway also stores your consent choice in the browser’s localStorage. This page explains both. The wider handling of inquiry records is on the privacy page.
How the choice works
On a first visit a banner offers Accept and Reject. Accept stores the value accepted. Reject stores the value rejected. Rejecting does not close the shelf, the journal, the session pages, or the inquiry form. The choice is kept under the localStorage key lucidbeaconway-cookie-consent and in a first-party cookie named lbw_consent.

Essential and analytics
The consent record is essential to remember the choice you already made. Lucid Beaconway does not set analytics cookies and does not run an advertising cookie. Pages do not change their content based on the button you press.
Third parties
Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. Requesting those files sends your IP address and browser data to Google, and Google may set or read its own cookies under Google’s policies. Lucid Beaconway does not control those cookies. No other third-party cookie is requested by the reading room’s own pages.
How to manage or disable storage
Use the Reject button on the banner to record a rejection. You can also delete cookies and site data for lucidbeaconway.click in your browser settings, or block cookies and localStorage for this host. If you clear storage, the banner appears again on the next visit so you can choose once more.
If you disable them
The reading room pages remain available. The inquiry form still submits. Typefaces may fall back to your browser’s own serif and sans-serif if the font request is blocked. A rejected or missing consent record does not remove a sitting you have already confirmed by email.
