How the reading room handles personal information

What we collect

When you write through the inquiry form or by email we collect your name, email address, the session you ask about, a preferred date, an optional seat count, and the message you write. We ask you to name Solana programs and position types. We do not ask for seed phrases, private keys, resident registration numbers, or payment card numbers. Circle fees paid by transfer are recorded as the account name you use and the amount, in the reservation book.

Why we keep it

We use these details to answer you, to confirm or refuse a sitting, to print the right packet, and to keep a booking record. The basis is the steps you take toward a session and the library’s need to know who is expected at the desk. Accounting records of fees are kept because Korean commercial practice expects a business to retain them.

Retention

Unbooked inquiries are kept for 24 months and then deleted. Confirmed booking records, including the fee and the session name, are kept for five years and then deleted. A follow-up letter is kept with the booking. Cookie choice is kept for 180 days, as described on the cookies page.

Sharing

Staff of Lucid Beaconway read inquiry mail. We do not sell personal information. We do not pass your program list to a protocol, an exchange, or an advertiser. A bank sees a transfer you choose to make, under that bank’s own terms.

International transfers

Reservation files are kept on staff machines in the Gimhae reading room. Email you send, and replies we send, travel through mail providers and may be routed or stored outside the Republic of Korea as part of ordinary mail delivery. The typefaces on this website are requested from Google Fonts; that request sends your IP address and browser data to Google, which may process them outside Korea. If you write to us from a mailbox hosted abroad, your own provider’s storage is separate from our Gimhae files.

Your rights

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it where a booking record is not still required for accounting, to restrict how we use it, or to object to a use that is not required to complete your sitting. Send the request to hello@lucidbeaconway.click. You may also complain to the Personal Information Protection Commission of the Republic of Korea.

Children

Sessions are booked for adults. If a message appears to come from a child, we delete it and do not open a sitting.
